FR HOUSE

This is a corner terrace house, which the owners were initially unsure whether to reconstruct to gain more floor areas, or to do a major renovation to improve the current spaces.

Nomads Design embarked on this exploration journey with the owners, providing feasibility studies to the owners, presenting considerations in terms of code compliances, technical feasibility, project timeline and cost estimation of various options. 

The Owners eventually decided on a major renovation for the house, focusing on ensuring the functional and water-tightness integrity of the different aspects of the house, as well as on improving the quality of spaces by combining rooms and knocking down interior walls to bring more natural lights into each spaces.

Interior colour palette is kept simple and neutral, so that the owner's collection of furniture, artwork and plants may take the center-stage. 

The design resulted in a no-frill house, which is comfortable, fuss-free and pleasant, one which the owners happily adorn along the way to make this a home of their own.
